Payson Clifford

Counseling Intern
Payson Clifford is a counseling intern completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University. She works with clients of all ages, with a genuine passion for supporting children and adolescents through the challenges of growing up. Whether a young person is navigating anxiety, school stress, identity, or emotional regulation, Payson brings warmth, patience, and a nonjudgmental presence to every session.
Payson believes that feeling truly heard is the first step toward meaningful change. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be honest with themselves, build coping skills that actually stick, and grow in self-awareness at their own pace.

Payson holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Substance Abuse Education from Troy University, where she graduated in May 2024. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Troy University, expected December 2026, maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout her graduate program. Upon graduation, she will be eligible to apply for licensure as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) in the state of Florida.
Payson practices under the clinical supervision of Jonathan Rollins, MS, LMHC, CCMHC.
